Hi guys, I'm new here.. And to the conga.
I have a solid background in West African djembe / dunun but hit some congas the other day that really spoke to me. Now I'm on a mission!!

I'm looking for some nice quality sets of conga hardware. I've tried some google searches and not much luck. Anyone have a good source or can point me in the right direction?

KevBo,
I can make you some hardware. I make sideplates or custom strap hardware, lugs, crowns, bottom rings, almas, whatever you need. I use only stainless steel for my hardware. PM me or email: info (at) manitopercussion.com You can see my work here: http://www.manitopercussion.com
Kind Regards,
Manito

These folks seem to sell rims and hooks but not side plates - seems to me I found another place once that also sold hardware but can't seem to find it now - I'll keep looking.

Moperc made a set of crowns and sideplates for someone I know - http://www.moperc.com/ . In fact, they're for sale on this forum - viewtopic.php?f=36&t=7674

It was a few years ago, so I don't know if they still do it - but it's worth a try. Moperc makes very good quality hardware, if the drums spoke to you it may be worth the investment.

I have a couple of bongos that need new hardware and I'm going with Manito. From everything I've seen his work is outstanding. For me a big factor is communication. I have to do everything through UPS/Fedex mail and email communication and Manito has been the best in getting right back to me. I'm sure Cali, Matt, & Jay do great work also but email with them is-----------------

Hola Rumberos,
I'm sorry about the links not working, I had some trouble while moving my site to a new hosting company, but I think everything is back now. If anyone finds something broken on my site, I'd really appreciate it if you could let me know! Thanks so much guys and feel free to contact me for any hardware/drums/skins or whatever I can do for you!
Peace,
Manito
