Hi there!

I think I may have asked this before but can't locate the thread :/ apologies. Can anyone confirm the correct skin diameters I should be buying to replace skins on a standard quinto, conga and tumba?

Cheers

I'd suggest 18" for all drums. It will cost you a little more but there's nothing worse than not having a large enough skin to get on your drum.

I'd go to 20 for the bigger drums, you need those extra inches to pull and center the skin.

Yes, or even slighty bigger in diameter,
as some congas and tumbas have got a skin angle
that does not slope steeply and herefore requires more skin.
Meinl is an example of that.
