My unwanted for yours?

Intriguing subject title..
Anyway, I am wondering if anyone would be interested in swapping their unwanted drum for mine? Mine has no issues other than scuffing; no cracks, splits or damage. Late 70's oak Gon Bops 11". Could use a new head, other than that she's fine. My issue is the height. Drives me crazy!
So, my rationale is that if someone has a wood quinto of like condition and "value" as my little nemesis, we could swap.
Pic available on request.
Thanks for reading my post, and happy holidays to everyone!

Paul

Gon bops are pretty much an inch taller than your standard LP's Tocas etc., I'm assuming you would like something that matches your other congas which is usually about 29". Interesting enough my cuban drums have ll been the exact same height as my bops.

pcastag-the plot thickens!
I was under the assumption most were 30, but assuming...you know the rest.

thank you both!

Tey often say 30, but when you measure they are usually closer to 29, just like the diameter, if you measure the new gon bops the 11.5 is usually closer to 11 or 11.25. I guess the wood shrinks! :(

Golly, my current at home set up is two GBs (segundo, quinto) and an LP Classic Tumba. Tumba and segundo sit on LP feet with the quinto between my legs tilted. I never noticed that the LP is shorter till I just went and looked.

Not really, as I haven't noticed it. Meanwhile, a full set of fiberglassed mahogany Gon Bops are waiting for me when I get the cash together, so the LP will kicked out of that mix and relegated to the rock and roll I-don't-care-where-I-take-them set up of another LP Classic and a Toca LE.

I thought about selling the LP/Toca set for a minute, but they do have their uses, and I think that I'll just hang on to them. Original heads and all.
