What would be a fair price to pay for a old afro fiberglass quinto? Its hard to find a price range online being that they don't sell them anymore. What model pearl conga would they be comparable to?

Old Afro's are interesting drums with an interesting history. If you get into a bidding war with someone who really wants one the price can go way up. But, most don't know about them and they can often be picked up cheap. "Fair" price? I would say $200 +/-

Well, I ended up buying it. see pic below. I paid 120$ for it and it turned out to be a 11 3/4 inch congas as opposed to a quinto. Its fiberglass but like no other fiber drum i've seen. the inside looks like some particle board remo type thing...not like an lp or toca fiber drum. But its a solid drum. will be good for taking some where where i don't care what happens to it...i.e a beater drum. Its a butt ugly color too IMHO, but overall I thing it was a great price. (i saw a old CP quinto in guitar center for 119$...and this Afro conga is by far a better instrument.

I like that drum. Good buy for $120!

I used to play a set of Afros from the 90's and they were great drums.
