Of all the drums I own and play, the Tumba is my favorite drum to play. That deep toned thunderous sound, it commands people to listen to your playing. I just recently added a larger Tumba to my arsenal of Drums. This thunder thumper sports a 13 1/4 playing surface with a very wide belly which is referred to as a "Boomba", which was created by Volcano Percussion Hawaii right here in Paradise. This Boomba has a massive open tone which sustains and projects so well it compliments my other Drums with its deep tone.
I like to listen to Poncho Sanchez. In his music, you can hear that deep rich Tumba tones in his licks. I hope with my set up of tumba's I can emulate that sound of his kind of play.

Aloha ,
Thanx for the wonderful comments on these fabulous Drums. The amazing feature on these Drums are that they are
" Conguero Friendly ", in that, due to the Stave construction combined with the stainless steel hardware, these tubs can take the stress of tuning them to a higher octave for those who perfer that certain sound. Not to mention that WOW factor stage presence they have with the eye catching wood grain and polished finish!

Please, please don't show me any more pictures of those gorgeous VP Mangos. Every time I see them I get greener and greener and greener with envy and am re-infected with the dangerous desire to own a set of those expensive babies. You are lucky to be in touch with those beauties.

Aloha CongaTick,
I just felt the need to share, thesr drums are too fabulous to keep to myself. Hey, I felt the same way too when I first saw these Drums. I just made the sacrifice with massive amounts of overtime to own these rare beauties! When you decide to make the move, you won't regret it. It'll be a life changing experience.

All three are Volcanos' the outer two are Mango wood whilst the middle one is constructed with Mango and Koa alternate staves.
