If you were on a deserted island and could only take 1 conga with you which would you choose?

You need to add Moperc & Isla hand made Congas to the poll.

What about Meinl, Pearl, Toca, Del Cielo, Volcano Percussion... ?
Out of league?

If you are on desert island, you have so much time - make your own! Hardware may be difficult to come by though..

Then there's also fat congas which have that beautiful round traditional rim style like the Sol/GB california.
Charangaman, nice point!:) I guess then you'd have to take hardware with you. And that'd better be stainless steel hardware! So from that point of view it's moperc, volcano, fat's ...

Maybe we could use animal bones or some yuka style tuning with staves.. Nature will provide! :;):

Bacalao,
Here are some Junior Tirado congas. Enjoy
These are from the early 70's, they belonged to Julian Cabrera, who played with Machito and Charlie Palmieri. I bought them at Junior's apartment about 12 yrs. ago. They are Caribbean mahogany and the 11" quinto has 6 lugs. Dario
