For those that may not know and might want to know,
the company that owns LP and their drums as well as many other musical instruments is also a manufacturer of bombs and missles.

I had heard the rumor, anyways here's the proof.

BNB, Good thing I purchased my Lps before the take over.
good to know. I never supported the war, unless attacked.
But I know that indirectly I am some how.

Remember though, very often military aircraft are used for humanitarian missions..we've all seen the hurcules transporters dropping food relief,military helicopters rescuing civilians at sea etc.... I think if you boycotted every company that had some kind of link/supply to the military/war effort there would be no one left.Im not saying that the manufacture of such stuff is a good thing, but its an unfortunate part of life

I aqree with fletch. I drive a GMC bus for senior citizens going to a free hot lunch program run by the local Catholic Church. I'm sure it runs on fuel from the middle east. GMC also makes tanks.
I own several LP products (pre and post Kamen). Am I feeding the war machine?

I think it far more complicated than that my friend.

I will continue to buy LP.

I never recommended boycotting anything, I just posted the information to substantiate a rumor I heard.

Some people will care about it more than others. I certainly won't judge anyone for playing a certain make of conga.

This info might guide my purchases in the future, but that is a totally personal decision.

This is how globalization works. Specializing on a segment of a market or industry can be very profitable, but branching toward all possibilities can be even more, although it may not be seen with good eyes – or been judged as monopolistic. Their industry is distribution, so they will distribute whatever is possible for them to distribute. They have the infrastructure, the vehicles and the know-how – why should they not do it?

KAMAN is not a music instruments manufacturer. They just own significant amounts of shares of certain manufacturing corporations (as with LP) or have distribution agreements with them (as with Sabian). So not buying the products they distribute won’t affect them too much, but can affect a lot of others…
