Hey!

Does anyone have a photo of Pearl Elite wood congas in NATURAL finish? Am looking for 2 hours in www and nothing! I have to choose color, but I saw all collors except natural!

and second question - what's better to pay:
LP classic - 500$
Pearl Elite - 366$

I believe that quality of Pearl is comparable to LP, but price... definitly not!

What do you thing?

Pearls sound fine, our percussionist is a Pearl endorser so I bang on his drums quite a bit. If price is an issue go for the pearls, you may want to also consider the new gon bops tumbao pro, I played on some and they had that same typical siam oak water buffalo skin sound, probably cheaper than both the pearls and the LPs.

thanks pcastag for advice, but unfortunetly it's not possible to buy any gon bobs in my country... LP also not, but them perhaps I can get from abroad by my connections:/

Defintively better deal Pearl Elites. To see a picture of them, check my post in this forum in the OPEN DISCUSSION " Ray Barreto 91", that I recently posted a picture of the great with Pearl Elites in Natural color.

Sorry not a great picture but it helps.

By the way, in the wood model, the most bought are the Diamond Burst. (However, I am aware there are some good deals in the natural color).

Unless you find them as "old stock but new", for the last three years, raspberry has not been a color available for Pearl Elite wood congas. I believe they are available, in Natural, Diamond Burst, Tropical Blue and Island Shadow (which is the same concept Pearl congas have in their "color or style" that is a dark color, a matching lighter color in the middle, then the same dark color. Island Shadow is Tropical Blue, White, Tropical Blue. Diamond Burst is Navy Blue, Silver, Navy Blue).

Have to admit that I have critized that "standard" of dark, light, dark style. We've been told they will start changing and/or that new colors will be added. (The Folcloric have that Crimson Sunrise that is Red, Natural, Red. The Bobby Allendes have the "Cafe con Leche" that is brown, light brown, brown...UHHHHH!).

If you find Raspberry you are lucky and get them. (I was looking for that but have not been able to find them. As I mentioned Pearl does not make them anymore).
