That small stand also looks like a nice idea btw. It might allow for seated playing since it's very low, but still lifts the drum off the floow. It's not collapsable, but I imagine would fit well in a conga bag.
I wonder though if the metrical measurements of the drum diameters would not be a problem if someone wanted to swith to synthetic heads (which are in inches AFAIK).

Posted: Thu Jun 14, 2007 5:19 pmI have two Sol African styled drums, 44 inches tall and conical shaped with custom stands, made of what Akbar called 'African mahogany'. My drums are quite a bit darker redish brown in color, more like the wood I see on my djun djuns.
