Hi all
I just bought a set of congas made out of fiberglass. Then have quite a lot of scratches that I would like to remove or just smoothen. Before going to a hardware store a buy the usual product, I'd like to have some advise from some of you guys.
Thanks in advance for your help

Alafia Abure Akdom!
I hope that you are well and in an abundance of blessings!
Several years ago I had a set of fiberglass original model LPs, long before the Patato models, anyway, they were a bit beat up from the wear and tear of giggin'. I took them into an auto painting shop, since some of their work is done on fiberglass repair, they not only fixed the dings and dents, they painted them for me and they looked brand new. Afterwards I put some 're-chromed' hardware on them and they really looked brand new.
BTW I would make sure to take all of the hardware off so you lesson the possibility of losing anything necessary.
So, if I were you, I would take them to an auto repair shop and see what they would charge you for a paint job! The fixing (fiberglass stuff) is usually included in the estimate.
Suerte!
