I talked to Cali @ JCR, and also Isaac (JCR rep) he said that website you mention is by someone whom liked Cali's stuff, although not affiliated w/ JCR percussion in any way. The last info i got was that Cali was still making the drums, and all the hardware and he could not quote a price. So unless the guy who runs the website has a current stock of JCR congas, i would assume the info and price to be inaccurate.
Give Cali a call if interested...

Subject: JCR Percussion website listed is old site & info.
The Website listed in the post below is a site unauthorized by JCR Percussion.
It's a dormant site in Israel (from 4 years ago)that the owner refuses to take down. The info is out of date and
they no longer carry JCR products. For real info about our products you can call (732) 432-0609 or email to :
funkytradition@yahoo.com
ps. I will soon post some photos of the new JCR congas
currently in production.

Alafia Isaac!
I hope that you are well and in an abundance of blessings!
Yo! These are some incredible looking drums, I love the Cuban look and fat belly! I would be interested in receiving some information on them, cost, availability. Personally I prefer the tumbas to anything else (quinto), but could you provide some info here?
Peace!

Thanks for your comments on the JCR Congas.
We're getting ready for a new round of
production of JCR Bongos first, and then the congas
again. The website jcrpercussion.com is an old
dormant site no longer affiliated with us at JCR.
For any questions about JCR handmade bells, timbales, mule skins, bongos, congas, etc. please don't hesitate to call me. I'm also a player of 25 years and will
attempt to be of help no matter how small your
issue may be. Its all about sounding as good as
we possibly can....

Alafia Isaac!
I hope that you are well and in an abundance of blessings my friend!
Thank you, you've already provided me with information and pics on the JCR congas, as well as the planning for the next 'go'round' of production! You've definitely got my business once the next series rolls out!
Again, thanks!
Onile!

They're apx. $550 each. The last set
is just being finished and shipping to
the Seattle area, but
we'll be making some new sets in
February after we've made some more new
bongos. The JCR shop is very small
- all is handmade by 3 people, so there's
usually a waiting list. They're fine
sounding and robust oak drums, with inner almas,
heavy duty steel hardware and mule skins,
which no one else offers.

Yo Isaac, is Cali selling his drums individually now, or only by set still?

Ask me again by the end of Feb.
The sets will go first, and then there
may be some 13" and 11" quintos
left.
