What do you guys think of the tuff-e-nuff congas and the poncho congas. I was just wondering cause im thinking about buying a set. Also input from other brands would be awesome.

I heard Pancho in Ft Worth last weekend, and although very musical and technically impressive,I was surprised that his drums seemed to lack bass.I much preferred the Pearl Fiberglass elite sound.Incidentally I own the Patatos.

I've seen them and they look sharp. Remo congas are made out of accousticon which is not actually plies of wood but a mix of wood that is made into plies. Is the same material all their drums, including trap drums, are made of. Tuff-enuff is "cover" of finish for their wood in the congas.

The only thing I've seen is the lack of bass in the tumbador.

Their priced OK but there are other better congas out there.....

I'm the proud owner of a set NuSkyn Tuff-e-nuff conga's (quinto-conga-tumba-supertumba)
they have a strong deep bass sound.........

you can get all the sounds from a "real" conga set......

take a listen..........

Hello!
I had one Poncho Signature Series Tumba and it sucked.
The head was the reason I guess...
I love my LP Classics...
