i recently bought an old conga from an estate sale. it's a banded 13 " tumba with a panda logo on the head and side. it also appears to be made of mahogany. anyone have any clues to the maker? also it has a crack between two of the staves that is through to the outer shell.. would appreciate any advice on how to repair it. thanks

If it has a Panda logo I would assume it cam from the far East or Indonesia. You will need some very good horse glue and super wood glue to put them staves back together once they are glued ty some rope around it and pull it together and leave it for a few days to dry and see if that works. Let me know how it turns out please....At your Service...JC JOHNNY CONGA... ;)
