I'm looking to buy an LP Fiberglass 12 1/2" Tumba from the 70's, Palisades Park, NJ era. I'd like to match my red 11 3/4" Conga from the same era. Red is preferable, but not required as long as it's in good shape, not broken, and playable. Head condition does not matter. See a pic of the one I'm trying to match. Thanks.

Hi Big Ben,

I notice there's a couple of interesting New Jersey-made 70s LP congas on Ebay at the moment. These appear to be of the shorter, salsa variety, and they're not red, but the tumba might suit.

Chelsea,

Yes...I saw that auction and asked the seller if he'd consider selling the tumba separately. He said they are sold as a set. So now I'm waiting to find out what his reserve is. Thanks for the heads up. I'll be keeping my eye on that one.

I'm still looking for this drum. Anyone know of anybody that would like to part with one? Please steer them my way. Let them know I have an immaculate Ebay feedback rating (60 positive; 0 negatives). My e-mail address is

benirma@worldnet.att.net

Thanks.
