I'm contemplating getting a drum to drag around to drum circles.... I'm looking for the follwing 4 features:

1. lightweight
2. inexpensive
3. made of wood
4. decent sound

Any recommendations?

Thanks!

Make one! :D
its cheap and the drums allways sound good. plus you can make it how ever thick you want and from any wood
(well nearly), so its all the things you want. ;)

For drumcircles I used to bring my old CP "Conga" (From Latin Percussion, older version of Aspires, somehow). They did a good job. I only wonder if U can get single drums.
Especially when practicising Afrin rhythms (Kpanlogo and stuff), my CP conga didnĀ“t need to hide behind the djembes the others brought along.
Hope this helps,
