Try this trick - take an empty plastic 20 oz or 2 liter soda bottle and try to see how many sounds you can find by striking it all around.
Close you eyes and focus, then start jamming with it - you might surprise yourself.
The sonoric qualities of the plastic, the open hole, etc can be very musical.
