I got to play rumba with him on the last night of the workshop.
Silfredo is an accomplished painter.
He's also a multi-media performance artist.

Very cool! He is talented and well rounded in more disciplines than I realized!
Ritz and I just had a bata practice, and perused a bit from the classes I had recorded. The final bata class with Lazaro Gallaraga gives some insight into Meta and Yemaya. All of the song classes, and Sandy's Brikamo and Guaguanco classes were also really something to behold and worth working on.
What a camp!!
Ritz again said he'd go next year, which makes me even madder, because something always gets in the way. This time it was a friend who came to town and wanted his help in running a lame camp that didn't happen.
You either plan to go %100, or I don't want to hear about it.

Being from Santiago he taught me a lot of the Tumba Francesa stuff and other rhythms from that region. Majority played with one stick and one hand.
