Can anyone identify this set of Bata

Postby kdarshan » Tue Feb 22, 2011 2:33 pm

I'm thinking of purchasing this set of Bata. They're about 20 years old but there is no indication of the manufacturer. Anyone got any ideas?

I have bought the okónkolo.
It is in a bad state (the price US 42.63)

What kind of wood are the made from ???????????????????????????????????????????

I took of all the the hardware .
Sanded the remaining black paint of .
Filled up all the holes with an old drumstick and pe gleu (the holes where much to big for the bolts the wood was verry dry)

Then i scraped the filler out of the wood .
And filled all the little holes and inperfactions with layers of supergleu .
Sanded it down again .
The super gleu takes on the color of the wood so you don't see the inperfections no more .
((Finely it's done)

And i took care of the wooden rims .
The where crude .
I flled them up with milliput and supergleu .
Sanded them down polished them .
Now the are nice and verry smooth . .

But at the moment i don't have the time to finish it as i work to much

I've seen a set on offer, what would be a reasaneble price for them ?

Here is another SONOC Batá set in black. Hard to tell by pictures, but looks in better condition than the previous one posted.
