Aha, I've been researching this for the set of bata I have coming in. I think most people make
their own, but this percussionist in my area Chris "Flaco" Walker advertises them on his site..
http://flaco.net/instrume.htmThese bell sellers have made some too..
http://www.classicbells.com/products.asp?cat=59I'm planning on making my own a little ways down the road. These are the cheap
sellers of bells.
http://www.brassbells.net/index.htmla quick search on the net for sleigh bells will do yah good, these guys have a great size chart,
on the bottom of their page.
http://www.acmecarriage.com/sleighbells.htmand ebay always has a ton of sleigh bells in different conditions. It seems like a lot of people
collect them though cuz they don't really go for cheap.
Thomas Altman describes his chaworo on his site, they use "sleigh bells" from what looks like one of those
percussion instrument wands for orchestral percussion. A great site.
http://ochemusic.de/fotopg4.htmI guess you can tell I've been doing some research, it's an interesting and esoteric topic for sure. Making
one seems like it will be a lot of fun so I am going that route.
