Posted: Sat Jul 12, 2008 3:53 amOlsongo,if I may ,but are these Pearl bata drums.?I have a set just like them.The Itotele has a especially fat sound.They are made a little larger than the lp's.Does any one know where the Pearl were designed from ?(Matanzas perhaps ?)I know John Amira(I studied with him a few years back)designed the bata for lp.

Posted: Tue Jul 15, 2008 2:59 amYes Vinnie, they are Perlas not Lp as posted; will fix that. To my understanding the Pearl Batas measurements are true to their Cuban counterparts, also they are lighter. Lps are actually smaller and heavier.
