Batadrums.com says: "Excellent set of CDs documenting a vast repertoire of bata drum toques, rezos, and songs for the Orishas of Afro-Cuban Santeria. Performed by Julio Davalos of Havana and the man he chose to pass on his knowledge to, Adrian Coburg from Switzerland, also Omo Anya. Volumes 1 and 2 (a 2-disc set) cover the Oru Seco and Oru Cantado. Volumes 3 and 4 (another 2-disc set) include numerous Rezos (prayers) and Cantos y Toques Especiales (songs and special rhythms to accompany particular songs)".

I have just bought these cd's. This work is magnificent and impressive. Excelent recording, very clear to listen and a very good source of work...

Thanks Laurent for your input. Do you have Adrian's Coburg companion books for this Cd's? From which source did you order it, batadrums.com shop or directly thru Adrian Coburg?

Laurent, is there any kind of liner notes, or background info like a list of the batá toques on the CD covers for this Antologia Yoruba V1 & V2?

Saludos,

Jorge Ginorio

Sorry but I don't have courage to write the 70 or 80 toque names. It is better to address directly in Adrian Coburg: coburg@iyalodde.ch

That wasn't my intention at all. I was just asking to see if that info is inlcuded with the CD's.

Thanks anyway!

Ooops! I'm sorry but I had not understood! Yes, the name of every toque is noted. When they link together, there is also the name of each. Again forgiveness, but sometimes I have some difficulties to understand English.
