I occasionally fill-in with JOIA ... I also jam with a few friends to play batucada.
JOIA is a percussion group, but mainly seems to be a social gathering event ... I had to leave that situation. There was no advancing there. Now, I'll play with them when they are lacking players.
We only wish we could find some Brazilian players here ... many are too busy working, and do not have time to get involved with playing. But, we'll keep trying.
